2009 - 2010 Cougar Fund Campaign

Dear Friends of Kingston Elementary School,

Every student who walks through the doors of Kingston Elementary School is a success story waiting to be heard.

The Kingston Elementary PTA is asking for your support to help our students watch their dreams take shape during their time at Kingston.  This is the second year for the Cougar Fund and it is the first of three fundraising efforts sponsored by the Kingston PTA for the 2009 - 2020 school year.

The Cougar Fund was a tremendous success last year!  This is a direct donation program that gives the Kingston PTA the opportunity to give 100% of the money donated back to the Kingston community through new programs for students and new equipment for the school.

Proceeds from this fundraiser will help fund many of the existing programs we have for students, including:  WATCH D.O.G. Dads, Artist and Musician in Residence, Oyster Reef Keepers and Chesapeake Bay Initiative, Reflections, D.A.R.E. graduation, and many more.  Funding also goes toward classroom supplies and computer programs, one field trip per child per year, and science laboratory.

This year we're hoping to add the following new items:
             a new kiln for the art department
             new spot lights in the cafetorium
             ten (10) interactive technology pads for classrooms
             five (5) new document cameras

We need to raise $18,500 for our programs and new items for this school year.

It's a big goal . . . but we know we can make it happen with the support from all our Kingston families!

Contributions to the Cougar Fund are 100% tax-deductible and all proceeds go directly to our Kingston community.

Please return the completed worksheet and envelope, along with your check (made payable to KES PTA) or credit card information to:  your child's teacher or the main office.  You may also mail directly to the school.

We're hoping to raise $10,000 by September 30th!

Participation in the Cougar Fund direct donation fundraiser is voluntary.  Any contribution is welcome and will help us to achieve our goal.  We would like to suggest the following sponsor levels:

Big Cat/Community Level  ($500 & up)

Cougar Level  ($250 - $499)

Cub Level  ($100 - $249)

Paw Level  ($40 - $99)

Any individual(s) and or company contribution of $250 or more will be recognized on a banner at Kingston Elementary School, as well as here on our website, for the 2009 - 2010 school year.
