Get INVOLVED with the deicisions coming down with possible cuts to our VBPS programs!

In light of the headlines in today's paper and the deep concern over the possible cuts to the Virginia Beach Schools' budget for 2012-2013, I know many of you have comments and opinions.
The proposed cuts are outlined and the addresses of our state representatives are listed as well as links to City Council  and School Board members, for your convenience in contacting them. You may also share your comments on the VBPS webpage offering detailed information ~ http://www.vbschools.com/administration/Lowdown/2013.asp
Additionally, you can sign up to receive email notifications when the VB Schools' website is updated concerning this important issue.  
I encourage all of you to voice your concerns about these proposed cuts and the effect they will have on our students.

By partnering with Posh Baby Events, we are able to take our consignor and volunteer registration online.  Register as a consignor, print tags for your items, pick a drop off time, track your sales, and register as a volunteer.  The tags will be completed online and printed from the website with barcodes on cardstock, found in front office at KES. You will be able to track your sales online during the sale on March 3rd.  No need to wait until later in the week to know how well you did!  Contact us for more details at www.kingstonthriftshop.com

Prizes will be awarded to the school with the highest percentage of participants, AND to the school representatives voted the "Silliest Shamrock" by the students themselves.

 Congratulations and thank you to Lauren Welsh, our January Volunteer of the Month. Lauren is our KES Hospitality Chair and has been doing a beautiful job, from serving delicious snacks, to organizing a teacher holiday luncheon. Lauren also organized Bus Driver Appreciation Day gift bags! Lauren also was our KES Concessions Chair for our AAR~! Lauren, we can’t thank you enough for your hard work and dedication to Kingston.
